Are you a registered nurse who is interested in providing patient care to cardiac patients? Then this may just be the position for you! Join our amazing team at Royal Columbian Hospital (RCH) in New Westminster, B.C., where you’ll play a crucial role in providing cardiac care to those in need.
This position involves providing direct patient care in an outpatient setting. Care is provided to both out patients and regional inpatients of varying complexity of illness requiring trans catheter cardiac procedures (cardiac catheterization lab and electrophysiology lab), cardiac device implantation, or trans esophageal echocardiograms. Care includes patient preparation, recovery, and discharge (and in some cases assisting with the procedure itself); and all associated nursing assessments, interventions, and patient/family education

EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE
Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
Completion of Cardiology component of Post Basic Critical Care course, or post basic High Acuity Course, approved Arrhythmia interpretation course plus one (1) year’s recent experience in cardiac monitoring or telemetry unit, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Current Basic Rescuer Certificate.
