They provide direct resident care activities including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, in keeping with the philosophy and policies and procedures of the Saskatchewan Health Authority. The incumbent coordinates and gives functional direction to Licensed Practical Nurses, Continuing Care Aide and Recreational staff positions, each of whom is responsible and accountable for the provision of safe and quality nursing care. Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing or a nursing diploma and be registered or eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan. A Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate is required, and previous surgical nursing experience is considered an asset.
