At our Wendover Nursery we are now seeking an experienced senior practitioner who can support the Room leader as Deputy Room Leader. Working a 38 hr week, salary is up to £32k depending on experience and qualifications, with great benefits. We have onsite parking together with a local “bookable” bus service which stops outside the nursery.

As Deputy Head of Room you will:

• Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments and resources to children that are appropriate to their age and stage of development
• Enhance the all-around daily needs of children, including their physical, intellectual, social and emotional development
• Assist with embedding an effective key person approach to enable children to form secure attachments.
• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent and visitor always
• Work within a team to support all children and team members within your room
• Lead and support the team alongside the Room Leader
• Understand and ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS are met
• Qualified level 3 or above, with at least 3 years experience of working in a day nursery and ideally some experience of being senior within the room
