We are a Skilled Nursing Facility located in Brewster, NY looking for a hands-on and energetic Director of Staff Development / Infection Control who combines a compassionate and engaging personality with the commitment to ensuring exceptional outcomes and a high level of resident satisfaction. In addition, you should be adaptable and detail-oriented with strong clinical assessment and independent problem-solving skills to work efficiently within a results-oriented environment. It is also vital to this role, that you display excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well with a diverse population.
Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and current license by State Board of Nursing.
Experience: Experience as Charge Nurse, Supervisor or Nurse Educator in long term care preferred.
Job Knowledge: Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to the health care field. Must demonstrate knowledge of MDS and care planning process. Knowledge of computer programs; electronic medical record a plus.
