Your duties will include providing emotional support, developing treatment plans, and ensuring compliance with medical standards. By touching the lives of pregnant women and those in crisis, you'll play a crucial role in their journey towards recovery and well-being. You will need to be certified as a: RADT SUDRC RAC This is an on-call position. Key Responsibilities Clinical Support: Assist in conducting assessments to understand the mental health needs of clients during the perinatal period. Therapeutic Assistance: Support therapists in providing individual and group counseling sessions, including setting up materials and managing session logistics. Crisis Response: Help with immediate support and intervention during mental health crises under the supervision of licensed professionals. Education and Resources: Provide clients and their families with educational materials about perinatal mental health issues and coping strategies. Team Collaboration: Work closely with healthcare providers, such as obstetricians, pediatricians, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care. Record Keeping: Assist in maintaining accurate and timely clinical records in electronic health systems. Support Group Facilitation: Help organize and facilitate support groups for new parents. Community Outreach: Participate in community outreach and education efforts to raise awareness about perinatal mental health. Customer Service: Provide cheerful and responsive customer service from new client orientation through residential stay. Activity Coordination: Direct clients to participate in healthy, recovery-oriented activities during non-structured time. Individual Therapy: Provide therapy sessions to clients experiencing perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, often through secure video conferencing platforms. Group Therapy: Lead group therapy sessions to support clients in a communal setting. Treatment Plans: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each client’s needs. Progress Notes: Maintain detailed progress notes and documentation for each client session. Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients. Education and Support: Offer educational resources and support to clients and their families about perinatal mental health. Crisis Intervention: Provide immediate support and intervention in cases of perinatal mental health crises. Additional certifications or coursework in mental health, counseling, or a related field can be beneficial.
