Job Description -Respiratory Department Assists in the maintenance of all sterile equipment in the respiratory department. Adheres to all State and Federal regulations regarding equipment maintenance. Job Responsibility   * Troubleshoots, calibrates, maintains and where needed, disinfects equipment per manufacturer’s recommended procedures. * Performs manufacturer recommended preventive maintenance Maintains accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed on equipment. * Obtains required consent before performing any modifications to medical, water treatment, plumbing or wiring equipment. * Ensures inventory levels of supplies, tools and test equipment on equipment are maintained and initiates replacement orders, as required. * Performs safety testing on all equipment. * Performs tanks delivery and collection in accordance with policy. * Performs related duties as required. All responsibilities noted here are considered essential functions of the job under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Duties not mentioned here, but considered related are not essential functions.
