Responsibilities Under the direction of a licensed clinical staff member, the Patient Care Tech 1 (PCT1) provides both basic patient care and clerical support using defined procedures and standards in accordance with the goals of the unit and the philosophy of Community Medical Centers (CMC). Performs and assists with elemental aspects of patient care such as nutrition, bed scale weights, intake/output (I/O), taking vital signs, etc. in coordination with the patient care team. Assists licensed clinical staff as needed with direct patient care and provides administrative and office management support to the unit(s). Serves as a centralized focus of administration, information and communication.
