FIRE STEAKHOUSE & BAR – HOST/HOSTESS

Location: Dawson Street, Dublin 2
Salary: €13.55 per hour + service charge (variable, not guaranteed – average €15–€18/hr)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent (30–40 hours/week)
Schedule: Mainly evening shifts

THE ROLE

As Host/Hostess, you are the first and last point of contact for our guests. You will ensure every guest is greeted with professionalism, seated efficiently, and made to feel at home. You’ll handle bookings, phone and email queries, and support the smooth flow of the restaurant alongside the wider front-of-house team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greet guests warmly and professionally as they arrive
• Manage reservations and phone/email enquiries
• Assign tables with consideration of floor rotation and guest preferences
• Escort guests to tables and introduce waitstaff when appropriate
• Maintain accurate booking information and update systems as needed
• Respond to guest questions and concerns with grace and efficiency
• Monitor flow of service and communicate with floor and management teams
• Support other front-of-house roles when needed
• Ensure the front desk area is always presentable and welcoming
