• Collecting waste from various areas of the site and processing the waste arisings according to type. This involves both the collection of waste in a variety of containers including FEL’s, skips, 1100 Lt bins, on pallet trucks and in drums from around the site.
• Operating hazardous dry waste in drum compactor, Linde/Hyster owned fork lift truck, tail lift vehicle, 34T FEL vehicle, 7.5T Curtain sider, 17T skip vehicle.
• Assisting with the loading and unloading of waste vehicles.
• Completing daily check sheets and relevant defect sheets, as applicable.
• Segregating and sorting waste streams in the waste yard and storage facility prior to disposal
• Collecting, storing and processing, as applicable, non routine waste under the instruction of the Veolia Supervisor and or Contract Manager.
• Assisting with waste yard duties, at the discretion of the Supervisor and or Contract Manager, within the training capability and ability of the individual.
