As the educational leader in the classroom, Instructors will be responsible for delivering SIIT programs and curricula with the purpose of promoting student success. The Instructor will interact with cutting edge, new technologies that support Virtual Health Care including telerobotic ultrasonography. The Instructor will teach foundation knowledge in Health Care Systems, Safe Environments, Health Office Procedures and Basic Anatomy to support daily tasks and functionality of Virtual Health Care. The Instructor will be responsible for delivering content in a variety of ways including hands on, online instruction and asynchronous components and will also play a crucial role in curriculum development and resource building capacities. This position will require some evening instruction and flexible working hours. Working collaboratively as a team of educational professionals, Instructors will demonstrate a strong commitment to create and maintain a creative and positive learning environment at SIIT.
Instructors are required to keep current with developments in their subject area, instructional resources and methods, and make relevant changes to instructional plans and activities to suit the individual needs of their students. The incumbent will be required to plan, organize and implement instructional activities which create a learning environment that guides and provides the greatest opportunity for student success.
