This role is unique. You will manage a residential home, but also be part of a ’one of its kind’ Joint Venture with Stockton Borough Council and will work closely with the Responsible Individual, Senior Management Team and other key stakeholders in the local authority to meet their needs as partners directly. This completely innovative arrangement means you will be embedded in partnership work unlike that experienced in normal Registered Manager roles.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE

• Relevant Experience: At least 2 years in a position related to residential care of children, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role within the last 5 years.
• Qualifications: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent), or willingness to start within 6 months of employment.
• Knowledge: Understanding of The Quality Standards, SCCIF, childcare legislation, and regulatory requirements.
• Skills: Efficient in; planning, organizing, budget control, resource allocation, and team leadership.
• Communication: Confidence in effective spoken and written communication.
• Understanding Trauma: Knowledge of the needs of children with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties, including managing challenging behaviour.
• Driving License: Full UK required.
