We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic band 5 nurse to join our vaccination team within Maternity. You will be required to work across site - both in King George Hospital and Queens Hospital supported by the Antenatal and Newborn Screening Team.

• To work as an integral part of the Maternity Immunisation Team
• To work across localities to provide service provision at multiple sites
• Delivery of the Maternity Immunisation Programme including national campaigns aimed at the pregnant population
• To liaise with the community midwifery teams, ante and postnatal staff, public health team, matrons, parents and other partner agencies as appropriate
• To implement the offer of BCG immunisations to babies delivered at BHRUT (when vaccine available).

Our patients are benefitting from our Women’s Health Hub in Ilford; an Ageing Well Centre in Hornchurch; and Community Diagnostic Centres (CDC) at Barking Community Hospital and at St George’s Health and Wellbeing Hub in Hornchurch.
These CDCs are open 12 hours a day, 7 days a week and are providing an extra 94,000 scans a year.
