SAIC is seeking an Electrical Engineer Intern to support an exciting Navy mission in our new state-of-the-art labs in Middletown, RI. Job Duties: You will design and test electronic systems for embedded underwater applications, custom data acquisition systems, and automated test hardware for land-based testing of naval systems. You will develop and execute test plans for new designs and document your results. You will design and document systems and circuits in OrCAD, Eagle, Visio, Altium, or PADS. You will have powerful computer, software, and test equipment resources at your disposal to allow you to be effective and efficient in your job. Candidates must demonstrate a history of excelling at multiple concurrent challenges and an eagerness and aptitude for learning new things. Work in an interdisciplinary collaborative environment with other groups of engineers, logisticians, technicians, and draftsman to ensure the design meets requirements. You will review specifications, requirements, schematics, bill of materials, mechanical drawings, and test plans created by senior engineering for accuracy. Create/Review well documented notes of design changes to maintain version control of drawings. You will be troubleshooting both large scale systems and individual system components or a larger scale system.
