We are currently looking for a Senior Software Engineering Manager with experience in Mission Systems software development. You will lead and manage a team of Software Engineers responsible for overseeing the design, development, and integration of embedded software solutions for mission critical software. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership attributes, excellent communication skills and a solid technical foundation with experience in open architectures and tactical mission systems including advanced sensors. The role will also require close collaboration with other cross functional Mission Systems teams, hardware/firmware suppliers and other engineering and support teams to ensure timely creation and delivery of high-quality software solutions. Responsibilities will also include creating project plans, establishing goals, tracking and managing agile team metrics, and providing technical oversight on team activities. You will be expected to build strong and meaningful relationships and partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders and take ownership of escalated issues and guide and assist the team to help resolve them within a timely manner. You will be responsible for hiring, training, mentoring, leading process improvements, and employee development initiatives. You will support and present at Program Management Reviews, Technical Reviews, and Program milestones, necessitating strong communication and presentation skills. You will also be expected to foster a culture of innovation and collaborate with other functional areas to set both internal and customer-facing policies that balance customer and organizational needs.
