QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Previous experience in a manufacturing setting preferred but not required.
• Mechanical and technical aptitude to learn assembly processes and the tools and equipment used.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and follow additional verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to follow safety and quality guidelines.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• This job operates in a manufacturing environment and is exposed to weather conditions.
• Must wear personal protective equipment (PPE) per facility requirements, including but not limited to, hard toe work boots, safety glasses, gloves and, high visibility vest.
• This role occasionally uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, filing cabinets, photocopiers and fax machines.
• Employees are frequently required to sit, stand, and occasionally required to bend, kneel, reach, stoop, or crouch.
• This position may occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

The Assembler will assemble and package materials to specification in a manufacturing and prefabrication facility.

• Read blueprints and schematics or receive work direction from a Lead Assembler.
• Gather and layout materials necessary for the assembly.
• Wire VFD’s, motor starters, and control panels.
• Complete panelboards, starters, overhead racks, and threaded rod assemblies.
• Verify accuracy of work through quality control procedures.
• Maintain safe and clean work environment.
• Notify supervisor of low inventory or faulty equipment in need of repair.

This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement with a pay range of $17.09 to $38.46 per hour, as negotiated under the terms of the agreement. All pay rates, benefits, and employment terms are determined and administered by the union.
