The COMET contract provides overall management and implementation of ground systems capabilities, flight hardware processing, and launch operations at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center (KSC) in Florida. These tasks will support the International Space Station, Ground Systems Development and Operations, and the Space Launch System, Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle, and Launch Services programs.
This position provides software development support to the Command & Control Systems (C&C) directorate under the Consolidated Operations, Management, Engineering and Test Contract (COMET) at NASA Kennedy Space Center (KSC). The C&C organization is responsible for the design, development, sustaining, testing, and operations of the Control systems within the KSC Launch Control Center (LCC). Individuals will work in a dynamic team environment and will be responsible for software design, implementation, testing, user support, maintenance, and operations of software systems in support of the KSC Launch Control Center (LCC).
The employee will be a part of the Information Architecture team working on the analysis, design, development, documentation, testing, deployment, and maintenance of software for the Launch Control System. The team is expected to work closely with other software developers, testers, architects, and end users to exceed customer expectations. The team works within a flexible hybrid remote work environment with two days remote and three days on site.
QUALIFICATIONS - EXTERNAL
Bachelor of Science (BS) in Engineering or technical equivalent from an accredited institution.
