JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking an experienced WordPress Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in WordPress development and a strong understanding of web development best practices. This role involves designing, coding, and modifying websites, from layout to function, according to the company’s specifications. Strive to create visually appealing sites that feature user-friendly design and clear navigation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 5 years of proven experience in WordPress development.
• Proficient in front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Strong understanding of PHP back-end development.
• Experience with responsive and adaptive design.
• Good understanding of website architecture and aesthetics.
• Experience in building user interfaces for websites and/or web applications.
• Familiarity with debugging tools like Chrome Inspector and Firebug.
• Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML).
• Ability to convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working HTML pages.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git.
• Strong knowledge of SEO principles and ensuring that applications will adhere to them.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.

• Develop and maintain our company’s WordPress websites, ensuring high performance, responsiveness, and availability.
• Design and implement new features and functionality to improve the overall user experience.
• Collaborate with the design team to translate visual designs into functional and responsive web pages.
• Optimize websites for maximum speed and scalability.
• Ensure the site is secure by implementing the best security practices and regularly updating WordPress core, themes, and plugins.
• Conduct website performance tests and troubleshoot issues to enhance user experience.
• Work closely with the marketing team to ensure SEO best practices are properly implemented on newly developed code.
• Manage all technical aspects of the CMS, including custom themes and plugin development.
• Provide technical support and expertise to other team members and stakeholders.
• Manage the hosting server, including configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our website remains modern and competitive.
