Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain distributed services and automation tools that support the foundational compute fleet layer of the Azure platform.. Contribute high‑quality, maintainable code to production systems using established software engineering practices. Collaborate with infrastructure, operations, and platform partner teams to understand requirements and deliver features on the critical path of the cloud platform. Participate in design discussions and reviews, contributing to design documents with guidance from senior engineers. Help break down large engineering problems into well‑scoped work items and provide effort estimates. Improve reliability, availability, performance, and observability of foundational infrastructure services through code and automation. Follow and promote engineering best practices, including code reviews, testing, documentation, and operational readiness. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 1+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
