Position Highlights
Senior Software Engineer to join our team building a premier SaaS monetisation platform. This is a critical point in scaling and refining Strategic Imperatives product to deliver cutting-edge solutions to their customers while maintaining a strong focus on innovation and technical excellence.
Strategic Imperatives are recognised as the UK market leaders in fixed line provisioning with award-winning multi-carrier solutions for Local Loop Unbundling, Wholesale Line Rental, Fibre and traditional broadband as well as the channel premier SaaS billing platform. Responsibilities
Senior Software Engineer to join our team building Elevate, our premier SaaS monetisation platform.
This is a critical point in our journey as we scale and refine the product to deliver cutting-edge solutions to our customers while maintaining our strong focus on innovation and technical excellence.
Learn, understand and maintain the vision and ‘big picture’ of the solution, questioning and refining requirements whilst helping shape and deliver the future technical roadmap.
Collaborate closely with stakeholders, customers, and the wider team to ensure alignment between technical deliverables and business goals.
Deliver high-quality software through iterative development practices, including TDD/BDD, clean code, and continuous integration.
Actively contribute to architectural decisions, focusing on scalability, security, and performance.
Help lead efforts in identifying and addressing technical debt, ensuring the platform is resilient and maintainable.
Refactor, troubleshoot, and upgrade existing software with a focus on delivering value to both internal and external customers.
Work with a security-first mindset, ensuring the solution safeguards both business and customer interests.
Act as a technical mentor to other engineers, sharing knowledge and fostering growth through collaboration, pair programming, and running knowledge-sharing sessions.
Have a KAIZEN mindset, constantly seeking opportunities to improve processes, product, technology, collaboration, everything.
Qualifications

MUST-HAVE SKILLS:

Extensive experience in Java and associated frameworks (e.g. Spring, Hibernate,).
Proven experience in designing and delivering scalable, secure and resilient software solutions.
Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and modern CI/CD practices (including Git, Docker,)
Experience working in modern software teams using agile methodologies e.g. Kanban.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders and collaborate across teams.
