This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Rust Software Engineer in Latin America. In this role, you will architect and develop high-performance backend systems for critical applications, working on core infrastructure, APIs, and performance-sensitive components. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product, data, and engineering to deliver reliable, scalable, and maintainable solutions. Accountabilities: Architect, develop, and maintain high-performance backend systems and APIs. Build and optimize performance-critical components, ensuring reliability and scalability. Collaborate with product, data, and engineering teams to deliver integrated solutions. Mentor and guide junior engineers, promoting best practices in code quality and architecture. Implement CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and observability for production systems. Participate in design decisions, balancing trade-offs between performance, maintainability, and scalability. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field. 5+ years of software development experience with 3+ years in Rust production environments. Familiarity with containers (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and on-premise server deployments. Competence in SQL/NoSQL databases, data modeling, and low-level performance optimization.
