Title: Program Manager
Hours: 35 hours per week; primarily weekdays (May be required to work some evenings and weekends)
Location: 962 Bloor St West and in the community
Supervisor: Director of Programs and Services
Sistering is a multi-service agency which offers practical and emotional support to women and trans people facing a variety of challenging life circumstances, including poverty, homelessness, social isolation, mental health and trauma histories.

WHAT WE DO

Sistering’s programs include a low-barrier 24/7 Drop In, Housing and Case Support, Harm Reduction, Peer Outreach, On the Path to Employment and Spun Studio social enterprise, and individual and systemic advocacy.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Sistering is seeking a dynamic and experienced Program Manager to lead and oversee our Drop-In, Case Support and Harm Reduction programs. This leadership role is responsible for staff supervision, service coordination, program development, and ensuring seamless service integration across program areas. The Program Manager will also provide clinical supervision, participate in community advocacy efforts, and contribute to operational planning and implementation.
The successful candidate brings a deep commitment to supporting homeless and marginalized women and trans people, along with strong leadership, administrative, and case management expertise. This role is both administrative and service-focused and will require some on-the-ground support within the programs.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) required; Master of Social Work (MSW) preferred
• Minimum 5 years of leadership, management, and supervision experience (10+ staff preferred)
• Experience providing clinical supervision in trauma-informed, harm reduction environments
• Proven experience working with women and trans people with complex needs, including homelessness, mental health, substance use, and trauma
• Experience in peer-led programming and participant advocacy

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

• Strong understanding of anti-oppression, trauma-informed, harm reduction, and low-barrier approaches
• Working knowledge of relevant legislation (e.g., ESA, OHSA, AODA, Ontario Human Rights Code, Residential Tenancies Act, WSIB)
• Excellent interpersonal and team leadership skills
• Strong organizational, budget management, and reporting capabilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with CRMS or similar case management systems
• Excellent communication and writing skills
• Additional language skills are an asset
