DOMESTIC ASSISTANT

At Black Swan Care Group, we are currently looking for a domestic assistant to work in one of our residential care facilities, Potton View on a part time, 20 hour permanent contract, £12.60 per hour.
Potton View is our residential care home based in Gamlingay on the Cambridgeshire border with Hertfordshire. The home can accommodate up to 31 residents with all rooms situated on one level, making the home fully accessible and mobility friendly.

REQUIREMENTS OF A DOMESTIC ASSISTANT:

• Attention to detail
• Positive attitude and caring nature
• Team worker
• Availability to work every other weekend and flexible with hours

• Ensure all rooms and common spaces are properly cleaned and maintained throughout the building and assist residents who wish to participate in the cleaning of their bedrooms.
• Make sure domestic supplies are ordered and stock control records are kept and are up to date. Ensure all equipment used is well maintained and kept in good working order.
• Follow good hygiene and cleanliness standards throughout the building as set down by the Health and Hygiene Authorities and ensure that the storage of all cleaning materials conform to the Home’s COSHH policy. (Ensure you maintain the Environmental Cleaning Schedule and checklist found in the Infection Control and Cleaning File.)
