Hardline Engineering is a privately owned design and engineering firm specializing in low, medium and high voltage utility and industrial engineering services.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • B.Sc. Engineering, with P.Eng. designation preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Must be legally allowed to work in Canada right now
  • Must be eligible for registration with APEGA as an EIT or P.Eng.
  • 5-10 years of experience in engineering and construction for Industrial and Utility power system type projects.
  • Minimum of 2 years of PLS-CADD experience.
  • Entrepreneurial approach and the ability to take on challenges in a changing environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and initiatives.
  • Familiar with AutoCAD/MicroStation (basic knowledge of DXF vs. DGN/DWG., with ability to identify layers so they can be turned off if not required in PLS-CADD)
  • Proficiency with computer systems and applications including the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments with tight timelines.
  • Self-motivated, positive attitude, strong client focus and results driven.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing with internal and external customers, stakeholders and co-workers.
  • Excellent organizational skills that demonstrate the ability to resolve conflicting priorities.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Willing to travel from time to time for site audits and inspections.

    Pay: $90,000.00-$150,000.00 per year

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Manager, Transmission Engineering, the Senior Transmission Line Engineer’s primary role will be to design transmission projects for Hardline Engineering clients. The Lines Engineer must have previous PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, SAPS, distribution and/or transmission experience and a strong understanding of owner’s engineering. The lines engineer will collaborate with various divisions including safety, stakeholder engagement & permitting, engineering, asset management, construction, accounting and procurement.
Intermediate, and senior level positions are available.
