Our operations rely on robust technology systems to manage auctions, vehicle inventory, logistics, and security. We are seeking a full-time ICT Support Technician to join our team as the primary in-house IT contact, ensuring the smooth operation of our technology infrastructure and supporting the ongoing growth of our business.
About the Role
This is a hands-on role that combines IT support with operational involvement in our weekly automotive auctions. You will act as the main liaison between our internal team and external IT providers, ensuring all systems – from our online auction platform to CCTV networks – operate seamlessly. Your work will directly support the efficiency, security, and success of our business operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first and second-level IT support to internal staff, resolving computer hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with external IT service providers to manage escalated technical issues and ensure service-level commitments are met.
• Maintain, update, and troubleshoot the vehicle inventory management system (application software), ensuring accuracy and online visibility of auction listings.
• Monitor, configure, and maintain online auction platforms to ensure optimal functionality before, during, and after weekly auctions.
• Oversee the performance, security, and maintenance of CCTV and related surveillance systems and its integration with the computer network.
• Participate as part of the operational team leading and managing weekly auctions, ensuring all digital systems are functional and aligned with business requirements.
• Assist in planning, testing, and deploying technology solutions (hardware, software and applications) to enhance logistics, sales, and administrative workflows.
• Document IT processes, configurations, and incident resolutions to support knowledge sharing and compliance.
• Identify and recommend improvements to systems and workflows to increase operational efficiency and reduce downtime.

Skills and Experience Required

• AQF Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Information Technology or related field, OR at least 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Demonstrated experience in IT support, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
• Strong coordination skills when working with outsourced IT vendors.
• Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy, uptime, and system reliability.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced, auction-driven environment.
• Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
