RISK LEAD – GLOBAL MARKETS OPERATIONS

Schedule:Monday–Friday | Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 remote) | Start: 7:30–8:00 AM | End: 3:30–4:00 PM (some flexibility)
Pay Rate:$43/hr W2
8 Months contract

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are looking for an experienced Risk Lead with a background in Global Markets Operations (GMO) and Operational Risk to join a dynamic team supporting risk management initiatives across the Global Markets Operations Line of Business (LOB). This role is essential in maintaining operational excellence, improving the control environment, and partnering with stakeholders to ensure a robust risk culture aligned with the enterprise Risk Framework.

EXPERIENCE:

• 5+ years in Global Markets Operations (required)
• Experience in Operational Risk, Compliance, Audit, or Risk Control
• Familiarity with risk frameworks and control environments in financial institutions

EDUCATION:

• Minimum: College-level education (Bachelor’s preferred)

• Partner with GMO teams and leadership to identify, document, and manage operational risks and events
• Monitor and support the lifecycle of operational issues, ensuring timely resolution and sustainability
• Serve as a trusted risk advisor for LOB teams by offering guidance and leveraging the bank’s risk framework
• Facilitate internal audits and compliance reviews; support communication between GMO teams and stakeholders (e.g., Internal Audit, Global Compliance)
• Support reporting, documentation, and presentation of risk issues (reportable & non-reportable)
• Assist with various LOBs, which may include Exchange Traded Derivatives, Collateral & Relationship Management Ops, or Shared Operations
• Provide ad hoc support for Operational Risk & Control (OR&C) initiatives globally
