We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with strong CICS application development experience to support and enhance mission critical healthcare systems. The role focuses on high volume, high availability applications supporting claims processing, eligibility, enrollment, benefits, and provider data, while also contributing to modernization and AI enabled initiatives. Primary Responsibilities: Design, develop, test, and maintain CICS online applications supporting healthcare business functions such as claims adjudication, member eligibility, enrollment, and provider management Develop and enhance programs using COBOL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, and JCL on IBM z/OS Work extensively with CICS transactions, pseudo conversational programs, TSQs, TDQs, and transaction recovery mechanisms Design microservices and/or z/OS connect or Bundle API's Perform impact analysis for regulatory or business changes (e.g., benefit rules, plan changes) Ensure applications meet performance, scalability, and availability SLAs for high transaction healthcare systems Participate in production support, incident resolution, root cause analysis, and preventive maintenance Collaborate with business analysts, testing teams, and distributed system teams supporting healthcare platforms Mentor junior developers and drive adherence to coding standards and healthcare IT best practices Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment).
