We (Azure Storage Client team) are responsible for delivering the Storage Virtualization platform to Azure Virtual Machines (VMs). Our stack handles trillions of Input/Output operations (IOs) every day from Azure VMs and runs in hundreds of data centers and over a thousand clusters. The team is enabling storage offload using custom-built hardware accelerators—utilizing Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs), Remote Direct Memory Access (RDMA) for transport, and Non-Volatile Memory Express (NVMe) as the VM’s storage interface.
As a Software Engineer II, you are responsible for designing, implementing, and deploying software to enable hardware-based storage offload technologies. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, or RUST
• OR equivalent experience.
• 1+ year(s) of experience working in storage domain.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

• 1+ year(s) of experience with kernel mode development and debugging (Windows or Linux drivers).
• 1+ year(s) of experience in Azure equivalent cloud services - data explorer, portal, disks, storage and virtual machines; and proficiency in shipping and maintaining high reliability cloud storage services.
  Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $100,600 - $199,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $131,400 - $215,400 per year.

• Design and develop system software that manages storage services in Azure.
