This position is for you if you’re able to treat others with dignity, compassion, and respect, even in life’s most challenging moments.   Your responsibilities in this role may include: * Perform initial nursing assessment for clients within 24 hours of admission in accordance with established program policies and state regulation. * Arrange appropriate appointments with Health Care Providers to secure complete physical examinations, as well as required additional health screenings and supplemental tests. * Administer medications, as well supervise the self-administered medications, where appropriate and allowed by regulation. * Maintain adequate inventory of medical supplies and accurate records of same in compliance with governing regulations and agency policy. * Counsel clients on nutrition, health care, self-care, symptom management etc. * Ensure that clients have appropriate medical coverage to guarantee safety, adequate care, and provider compliance for payment. * Ensure proper storage of supplies as required by regulation. * Assist in the facilitation of special events, including, but not limited to: staff training, staff retreat, workshops and facility events. * Implement health seminars, including, but not limited to: HIV/AIDS, nutrition, medication education, infectious diseases, mental health, etc. * Participate in treatment/multidisciplinary team meetings, as directed. * Implement and assure adherence to infection control policies and practices. * Provide education for clients regarding health, nutrition, safety, and medication compliance. * Maintain RN license with good standing. * Other related duties as assigned by Nurse Manager or designee. Working Conditions: * Required to work weekends at least once a month including one off shift per week to ensure to ensure program coverage. * May be required to work shifts outside of assigned shifts during critical staffing shortages.  * The minimum holiday requirement is 1 major summer holiday (Memorial Day, July 4th, or Labor Day) and 1 major winter Holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year’s Day (night shift: New Year’s Eve). Other Holidays will be rotated amongst all staff. * This position is deemed essential and will be required to work during inclement weather * For Gaudenzia sites with multiple programs, you may be required to work in any of the programs based on staffing needs Education/Training: Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing. Must have good standing license (RN) valid in the state in which clinical will practice.
