CEVA Logistics is a leading international logistics service provider. In the Benelux region, we have more than 50 branches across 30 locations, where over 11,000 colleagues contribute to our success every day.
YOUR ROLE
Together with your colleagues in our Control Room, you are responsible as a Supply Chain Planner for steering the warehouse towards achieving its KPIs. In this role, you hold a key position within the logistics operation. The Control Room is the beating heart of the logistics operation for our customer, de Bijenkorf, and is responsible for directing 400 to 600 people in the daily operation.
In the omnichannel warehouse of 33,000 m², shipments are prepared both for online consumers in the Netherlands and Belgium as well as for de Bijenkorf stores. This omnichannel distribution centre is characterized by a high degree of mechanization, combined with a wide variety of processes and large fluctuations in volumes, resulting in diverse staffing levels and product flows. Flexibility, quality, efficiency, and a people-focused approach are key values in this high-end logistics environment.
Each day, you work with the operational planning model, incorporating yesterday’s performance and today’s forecast. By allocating resources at the right time, based on data, you ensure a smooth flow within the warehouse. The department’s goal is to optimize productivity and guarantee delivery reliability.
You will join an enthusiastic team of Operational Control Room Specialists and Data Analysts. In addition, you’ll work closely with Operations Managers, Team Leaders, other departments, and our customer de Bijenkorf. Based at our site in Tilburg, you will work full-time, mainly in regular shifts.
AS A SUPPLY CHAIN PLANNER, YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Monitoring KPIs and taking corrective action where necessary;
Participating in and regularly leading stand-up meetings with Operations Managers to resolve short- and long-term operational challenges;
Making daily data-driven decisions to maximize efficiency within processes;
Coordinating with the operations team and the customer on process prioritization to optimize throughput and productivity;
Creating scenario plans based on the customer’s forecast to shorten lead times and optimize costs;
Conducting analyses and initiating projects to further improve efficiency;
Allocating resources, workstations, and machinery based on the production plan.
