OVERVIEW

ATTN: This is meant to be a fun experience! We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will have a team approach to helping patients achieve designated outcomes while being encouraged to be creative and have fun! Your expertise in physiotherapy techniques and patient management will be essential in helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals. Additionally, there are multiple clinics which allows for the clinician to engage in many different and exciting areas within the industry!

REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant or relevant experience in physiotherapy settings.
• Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and rehabilitation techniques.
• Experience working with diverse patient populations, including geriatrics, pediatrics, orthopedics, and those requiring acute care.
• Familiarity with discharge planning processes and the ability to create effective care plans for patients transitioning from one level of care to another.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while demonstrating empathy and professionalism in all interactions.

  Pay: $26.54 - $36.00 per hour
  Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week

• Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Provide hands-on patient care, including administering therapeutic exercises and modalities.
• Utilize techniques such as trigger point therapy to alleviate pain and improve mobility.
• Monitor patient progress and document changes in their condition accurately.
• Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, exercises, and home care strategies.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients across various settings, including inpatient, outpatient, acute care, and skilled nursing facilities.
• Participate in discharge planning and develop care plans that address the ongoing needs of patients.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment while adhering to medical terminology and anatomy knowledge.
