What to Expect as a OT at Ignite Medical Resorts: Caseload will contain a variety of diagnoses including orthopedics (fractures, joint replacements/revisions), neurological conditions (CVA, brain injury), falls, respiratory conditions, generalized weakness/deconditioning, medical management. The goal for all patients is to return to their prior living situation or the next level of care as we are a short-term facility and not provide long term care. Patient load is typically 1-4 evaluations per day and depending on number of evaluations, 4-8 treatment sessions per day averaging 35-50 minutes per session (depending on patient diagnosis and tolerance). For documentation, our facilities utilize Nethealth and PointClickCare. Schedules are flexible- we do not have set times for therapy sessions so therapists could choose to set their own start time, within reason.
