REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree
• 5-6+ years of experience in implementing and/or maintaining an HSE management system
• 8+ years of HSE-related experience in oil & gas or other manufacturing related sectors
• Root Cause Analysis Investigation Training (5WHY/FISHBONE)
• International Organization for Standardization (ISO) Certified lead auditor (9001, 14001, 45001)
• Previous management and/or supervision experience
• Associate/Certified Safety Professional
• Working knowledge of HSE Management Systems
• Strong leadership & interpersonal skills
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Contractor management
• High risk operations
• This role may require domestic and potentially international travel of up to: <10%

JOB PURPOSE

The Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Senior Advisor is responsible to coordinating and executing safety and environmental programs to ensure practical, cost-effective measures are in place within the workplace, and a Safety Culture exists to ensure employees are accountable and responsible for health, safety and environmental conditions and practices. The role is responsible for supporting the administration, interpretation and implementation of the Weatherford Health, Safety and Environmental Management System, Operations Excellence Performance System (OEPS), ensuring that appropriate measures are taken to maintain an effective program consistent with the Organization, Geozone, and Area HSE objectives.

• Responsible for being familiar with the Company’s Quality policies and takes an active role in the compliance and improvement of Weatherford’s Management System
• Maintains service quality as immediate priorities when working across all areas of the business and continually seeks areas for improvement

• Where required in the case of non-compliance, exercises ‘Stop Work Authority’ to suspend operations
• Ensures that an HSE orientation and induction is provided to all new and existing employees
• Coordinates the scheduling, implementation, and assistance in the facilitation of regulatory HSE Compliance Training
• Supports HSE inspections and audits performed in the assigned area and on work site locations
• Assists local management in the preparation and presentation of HSE meetings, training, and awareness programs
• Supports the investigation of all incidents and near misses and ensure they are entered into Weatherford Performance Tracking System (WPTS) correctly
• Assists in developing emergency response procedures
• Assists in closing the audit findings and drive participation among the leaders
• Understands and complies with Weatherford OEPS and comply with all requirements of the Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions
• Manages onsite contractors on construction projects
• Coordinates with suppliers on equipment assessments to meet the HSE standards
• Participates and initiates change management plan on planned and unplanned changes
• Participates in the HSE inspections
• Prepares hazard heat maps and barriers controls for high-risk operations
• Meets with regulatory agencies that govern our operations when required
• Meets and collaborates with product line owners, engineers and functional leaders
• Develops site specific plans and procedures to mitigate hazardous conditions
• Performs various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job
• Maintains effective communications with all key stakeholders both internal and where appropriate external
• Collaborates with regional and global teams to stay up to date on HSE best practices
• Disseminates HSE information to all levels of the organization
• Familiarizes managers and supervisors with all customers, regulatory and other requirements that affect their course of business
• Reinforces positive engagement and coach the local leaders on HSE hazards
• Provides appropriate HSE training to all levels of management
• Coaches and mentors frontline staff in the correct implementation and use of Weatherford’s Risk Management Tools
• Demonstrates leadership, ethical behavior, and adherence to Weatherford standards always
