Description The Accounting Assistant manages day to day AR and AP transactions and maintain accurate financial records, supporting other accounting processes as needed. Job Responsibilities: Maintain accurate financial records for both accounts receivable and accounts payable. Enter cash receipts daily including processing credit card batches. Monitor AR closely and follow up with customers to ensure timely collections. Enter customer credit memos and chargebacks. Follow up on any discrepancies timely. Process vendor invoices timely including gaining necessary approvals and matching with purchase orders if needed. Manage weekly check runs including uploading positive pay files to the bank. Assist with employee expense entry and receipt verification. Assist in annual audit by obtaining necessary support and other duties as needed. Be self-motivated and comfortable working independently. Provide support to other departments as needed. Requirements Required: High school diploma, or equivalent, required. Minimum 3 years’ experience as a bookkeeper or accounting assistant Proficient computer skills Bonus points for experience with NetSuite, Bill.com, Shopify, and CardPointe Strong attention to detail Flexibility with evolving processes & technology Passion for Peace Coffee’s mission and values.
