Agency Profile Self Help, Inc. is a nonprofit Community Action Agency (CAA) created to help families and individuals stabilize and secure their lives through education, strategic assistance, and building opportunities in their communities. We provide a range of services for families and households across Southeastern Massachusetts. Job Summary The Head Start Maintenance Worker is responsible for ensuring the safe, clean, and well-maintained condition of Head Start facilities, grounds, and equipment. This position performs a variety of maintenance tasks to support a healthy and functional learning environment for preschool children and staff, adhering to Head Start Performance Standards, safety regulations, and agency policies Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs to buildings, including but not limited to: Carpentry (minor repairs to doors, windows, walls, furniture) Plumbing (unclogging drains, fixing minor leaks) Electrical (replacing light bulbs, resetting breakers) Painting (touch-ups, small painting projects) Flooring (minor repairs to tiles, carpets) Maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of building interiors, including classrooms, offices, restrooms, and common areas.
