MaxHealth is seeking a Team Lead, Cloud Infrastructure and Operations for our growing organization. This position will be responsible for the architecture, management, security, and performance of the organization’s Azure environment and other cloud infrastructure. This individual will lead a small team and serve as the technical escalation point for all cloud infrastructure, including Azure IaaS/PaaS services, Microsoft 365, Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), Defender, Intune, specialty private cloud infrastructure, and other ancillary Microsoft cloud solutions. The role focuses on scalability, automation, availability, and security to support a healthcare organization’s continuous operations.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• 7+ years of experience in Enterprise Information technology infrastructure support & operations
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or experience
• 5+ years of experience managing Microsoft Azure infrastructure in a multi-site enterprise.
• 3+ years in a team lead or senior engineer role with mentoring or task delegation responsibility.
• Proficiency with Azure services: VMs, VNets, NSGs, App Services, Storage Accounts, Azure Policy, and Monitor.
• Strong expertise with Microsoft 365 administration and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Familiarity with security tools such as Microsoft Defender for Endpoint/Cloud/Identity and Sentinel.
• Experience in IaC with PowerShell, ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform.
• Solid understanding of HIPAA compliance and cloud security best practices.
• Strong problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
• Microsoft certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Security Engineer Associate, or Microsoft 365 Enterprise Administrator.
• Experience supporting healthcare or other regulated industries.
• Working knowledge of SaaS identity federation and cloud SSO (e.g., SAML, OAuth, Entra ID SSO integration).
• Exposure to cloud-based VoIP, EHR integrations, or healthcare SaaS platforms.

• Lead day-to-day operations of the Cloud Infrastructure team, providing mentorship, task prioritization, and technical direction.
• Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure roadmaps and standards aligned with healthcare regulatory needs and business objectives.
• Collaborate with Security, Applications, and Service Desk teams to support HIPAA-compliant cloud operations and incident response.
• Own the administration and architecture of Azure subscriptions, resource groups, VNets, firewalls, and core services.
• Manage Microsoft 365 tenant services including Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and Intune.
• Oversee Entra ID, Conditional Access policies, identity governance, and secure authentication methods.
• Leverage tools like Bicep, PowerShell, or Terraform for IaC deployments and environment consistency.
• Streamline operations using Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Autopilot, and Intune for device provisioning and compliance enforcement.
• Maintain visibility into cloud health using tools like Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Microsoft Sentinel.
• Develop operational dashboards and alerts for uptime, performance, and anomaly detection.
• Plan and test business continuity and disaster recovery capabilities across Azure workloads.
• Ensure cloud infrastructure aligns with HIPAA, NIST, and organizational cybersecurity policies.
• Work with the Compliance and Security teams to enforce role-based access controls, data encryption, and secure communications.
• Ensure infrastructure is patched in alignment with Enterprise policies
• Assist with vendor security reviews, penetration testing follow-up, and audit evidence collection.
• Collaborate with other IT engineers and stakeholders to align the IT infrastructure and security strategy with the business goals and objectives.
• Supervise and mentor a team of cloud operations engineers, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.
• Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.
