Title: UK Group Accountant/ Accounting Manager (UK Group)

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Prepare and review monthly group consolidated accounts under FRS102
• Prepare and review monthly accounts for Canadian entity
• Lead the year-end audit process, liaising with external auditors
• Work closely with Group accounting department to ensure compliance with FRS 102 / US GAAP and assist with development of best practice accounting policies
• Oversee inventory management process for UK Group
• Oversee key monthly accounting reconciliations
• Provide support on revenue recognition
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes across group entities
• Analyse financial performance and provide variance analysis
• Assist in the implementation of financial controls and process improvements
• Monitor and interpret changes in accounting standards and regulations

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with a minimum of 3 years PQE.
• Strong knowledge of UK GAAP, FRS 102, and US GAAP (desirable)
• Proven experience in a senior leadership role
• Track record of improving processes and developing teams
• Ability to meet strict reporting deadlines and month end commitments.
• Desirable – Experience with SAP business by design
