C2526-24 High School English Teacher - J.A. Williams High School
This is a full-time temporary (1.0 FTE) position commencing with the start of the 2025-2026 school year, and going until November 14, 2025. J. A. Williams High School is located in the town of Lac La Biche with approximately 450 students in grades 9-12. Our mission is to engage the entire school community in learning through focus, reflection, and collaboration. We are seeking a dedicated and caring High School Teacher to teach English, and who will work collaboratively with the school community to create a welcoming and engaging learning environment where all students learn and excel.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS:

• Possess a valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
• Previous experience teaching the assigned courses/subjects is an asset, specifically Drama
• The ability to achieve Alberta Education’s Teaching Quality Standards
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational and problem-solving skills
• Commitment to lifelong learning and professional improvement
