Job Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Art Teacher to join our team. As an Art Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a positive and engaging learning environment where students can explore their creativity and develop their artistic skills. This is a Part-time position for Summer Camps.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement art lesson plans that align with curriculum standards
- Teach students various art techniques, including drawing, painting, and sculpture
- Provide guidance and support to students as they explore different art mediums
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity and self-expression
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback on their artwork
- Collaborate with other teachers to integrate art into interdisciplinary projects
- Organize and display student artwork for exhibitions or showcases
- Communicate with parents/guardians regarding student progress and upcoming projects
Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Art Education or related field
- Previous experience teaching art to students of various age groups
- Knowledge of instructional design principles and techniques
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents/guardians, and colleagues
- Strong organizational skills to manage lesson plans, materials, and student artwork
- Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) for online instruction is a plus
- Experience working with early childhood education or special education students is preferred
- Passion for art education and the ability to inspire creativity in others
