Staff Engineers, R&D for Westmont, IL location. Develop, enhance, test, and maintain mixed lubrication sub-models in the context of rigid/flexible multi-body dynamics (MBD), kinematics, contact mechanics models applicable to dynamics, durability, noise, vibration, friction and wear issues in powertrain, vehicle and general mechanical subsystems. Work on projects focused on performance, scalability, user-friendliness, and 3D visualization aspects of MBD and tribological models. Test computational models within integrated simulations of real-life systems aimed at addressing customers’ product design, performance and durability issues. Collaborate with other developers and application engineers on functional and I/O requirements and design of simulation models. Adapt existing tribological models to user requirements.
