Provide support of domestic and international hazardous material (HAZMAT) transportation regulatory programs for the company. Provide strategies, processes, controls, guidance, oversight and training of store, distribution center, manufacturing, and business support associates to maintain U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and applicable state, local and international transportation compliance, such as the International Maritime Organization (IMO.) Coordinate HAZMAT compliance initiatives within the Environmental Compliance Center of Excellence (COE) as directed by Manager or Director. Independently research government regulations and summarize findings with effective communication skills. Track new legislation and help identify the steps Kroger must take to comply.
