OVERVIEW

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Credit Controller to join our finance team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing the company’s credit control processes, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts while maintaining positive relationships with clients. This position requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Proven experience in credit control or a similar financial role is preferred but not essential.
• Strong numerical skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective client interaction.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and conflict resolution.

• Monitor and manage the company’s accounts receivable to ensure timely payments are received.
• Conduct credit checks on new and existing clients to assess risk levels.
• Prepare and send out invoices, reminders, and statements to clients.
• Liaise with clients regarding overdue accounts and negotiate payment plans where necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of all communications with clients concerning their accounts.
• Collaborate with the sales team to resolve any disputes or issues related to invoicing.
• Generate regular reports on outstanding debts and provide updates to management.
• Assist in the development of credit control policies and procedures to improve efficiency.
