Qualifications EDUCATION High School diploma or GED LICENSURE Must complete and successfully pass Cardiac Dysrhythmia Course and Cardiac Monitor Tech Exam within 90 days of hire. Health related career experience (such as EMT) preferred. SPECIAL SKILLS Ability to read, write, and understand the English language; ability to perform basic mathematics; ability to learn multiple cardiac rhythm abnormalities and convey these to the registered nurse expeditiously carry out directions; must possess a mature, sympathetic and caring attitude with the ability to be sensitive to the varied needs of the GH patient population; must be flexible, cooperative, and able to meet the demands of the Cardiac Monitoring Technician position using appropriate communication techniques. Ability to provide clerical support to the Nurse Manager and staff through various activities. Ability to facilitate unit activities through interaction with other hospital departments.
