JOB SUMMARY The General Accountant, under the direction of the Accounting Manager, will be responsible for supporting the Controllership unit, with a focus on the month-end closing process, financial reporting and analysis, as well as external audits. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Preparation of monthly balance sheet account analysis and reconciliations Responsible for the accurate and timely entry and analysis of financial information for month-end closing process Analyzes variances to determine cause Participate in the year-end audit and review processes Support, maintain, and develop accounting systems Assist in the development of reporting requirements as requested by corporate managers Assist with the implementation and enhancement of month-end closing procedures Contribute to implementing projects and process improvements in the department Act as a supporting contact and work with the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing and Financial Planning and Analysis teams Participate in ongoing internal and/or external continuing education activities Adhere to Bayshore Policies and Procedures.
