As the Principal Construction Sourcing Project Manager (PCSPM), your key responsibility will revolve around leading the procurement activities at the Project level for major construction projects. Your work location will be at a construction site in Hiroshima, Japan, where you will operate alongside other members of the Project Core Team. Roughly 40% of your role will involve commercial aspects, with the remaining 60% dedicated to program and process management and engaging with suppliers. You will manage both Pre & Post Contracts for the Projects you are assigned to and work with category supplier managers and leaders. You will be involved in tenders for major General Contracts, coordinate with sub-contract tenders, project change orders, and collaborate with sourcing professionals across various categories in relation to building projects. Upon entering the project execution phase, you will step into the role of project owner from a procurement perspective and ensure that the procurement function excels beyond expectations. Responsibilities and tasks Commercial & Contractual Responsibilities Overall RFP and Tender management; Contract terms and conditions discussions and finalization with successful bidders Post contract management (Change order, Insurance, Bonds, Milestones, Payments, Claims, Project Close out) Ensure accountability of the General Contractor to meet performance expectations under the contract, including providing scorecards Program Management Responsibilities Work with commercial program managers assigned to the project to publish timely reports for cost, schedule, and performance Participate in Project level meetings and report out to the rest of the Procurement team on major changes or initiatives that could impact the project Serve as the primary contact for commercial items related to the project once it enters the execution phase Education Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering.
