Job Summary: The Security Officer maintains a safe and secure work environment by observing and reporting suspicious behavior, patrolling designated areas, conducting screenings, and following emergency action plans. This position works with the Security Manager to ensure compliance with security policies and procedures. As a growing and innovative company, safety and security is a top priority for FilterEasy. Requirements Supervisory Responsibilities: None Duties/Responsibilities: Perform routine patrols of designated areas to identify and report any suspicious behavior Monitor security systems and alarms to ensure they are functioning properly Screen individuals and belongings using metal detectors and other screening equipment Conduct visitor intake, including verifying identification and issuing visitor badges Follow emergency action plan procedures in the event of an emergency or crisis situation Report incidents and security breaches to the Security Manager and follow up as necessary Provide assistance and guidance to visitors, employees, and contractors as needed Collaborate with the Security Manager to ensure all security policies and procedures are being followed Escalate situations that require emergency services, such as medical emergencies or criminal activity Maintain accurate logs and reports of all security-related activities Attend and participate in all required training sessions. Required Skills/Abilities: Must be able to work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends Must be friendly, positive, and professional to all employees and guests Excellent written and oral communication skills Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time Possess basic computer skills and be able to operate security equipment and software Working knowledge of basic security techniques Ability to work independently with little or no supervision Education and Experience: 1+ years of relevant experience is required High school diploma or equivalent required Must be able to pass a criminal background check Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting and walking Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times Ability to work in all weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, day and/or night Ability to perform continuous physical exertion as needed
