REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in network and systems engineering
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, networking protocols, firewalls, and cloud services
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, MCSA, RHCSA, CompTIA Network+/Security+) are highly desirable
• Familiarity with cybersecurity standards and health data privacy regulations (e.g., Australian Privacy Principles, My Health Record)
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills to support non-technical users

As a Computer Network and Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure networks and systems that support healthcare applications and services. Key responsibilities include:

• Design, implement, and maintain computer networks and related computing environments, including systems software, applications software, hardware, and configurations.
• Installing, configuring, and monitoring network hardware, servers, and firewalls
• Maintaining data security, backups, and disaster recovery procedures
• Managing clinical software systems, electronic health records (EHR), and integrations
• Troubleshooting network and system issues for clinical and administrative staff
• Ensuring system compliance with healthcare regulations and data protection laws
• Collaborating with healthcare professionals to understand technology needs and support clinical workflows
