🚨 Senior Machine Learning Engineer - Autonomous AI & Defence Tech

I'm working with one of Europe's most exciting AI companies, building the next generation of autonomous drones and multi-domain systems used by defence and security organisations across the globe.

Following over $1 billion in funding and a valuation exceeding $8 billion, the business is scaling rapidly and building a brand-new Machine Learning team focused on deploying AI directly onto autonomous UAVs, UGVs, and USVs operating in real-world mission environments.

This is a genuine opportunity to own the full machine learning lifecycle — from data preparation and model training through to optimisation, deployment, MLOps, and continuous improvement on embedded edge devices.

You'll work on:

🤖 Training and deploying deep learning models for autonomous UAVs and robotic platforms

👁️ Computer Vision, perception, sensor fusion, and embedded AI

⚡ Optimising models for edge devices using quantisation, pruning, and distillation

🚀 Building scalable ML pipelines, training infrastructure, and MLOps tooling

🛰️ Real-world autonomy for mission-critical defence and security applications

🤝 Collaborating with hardware, autonomy, production, and flight testing teams

Requirements:

✅ Experience building production Machine Learning or Deep Learning systems

✅ Strong Python plus experience with C++ or Rust is a bonus

✅ Experience across the ML lifecycle, including training, validation, deployment, and optimisation

✅ Background in Computer Vision, Foundation Models, Vision-Language Models, sensor fusion, or autonomous systems

✅ Experience deploying models into production or resource-constrained edge environments

✅ Passion for solving complex engineering challenges with real-world impact

💰 Package: Up to €110,000 base salary + pension, flexible working, mobile working, lunch allowance, bike leasing, corporate discounts, company shuttle, and excellent career progression within one of Europe's fastest-growing AI companies.
