JOB SUMMARY:
We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team in Salmon Arm, BC. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing client-specific treatment plans aimed at promoting independence in daily living activities. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to support the overall well-being of clients in a long-term care setting.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
Must be registered and in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia (COTBC).
Previous experience in long-term care, rehabilitation, or community health is an asset.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Full immunization records (DTAP, HepB, MMR)
2-step negative TB and or chest Xray (6 months)
Current CPR certification and valid driver’s license (if applicable).

Responsibilities
Conduct assessments of clients’ physical, cognitive, and functional abilities.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to support independence in activities of daily living (ADLs).
Recommend and train clients in the use of assistive devices and adaptive strategies.
Monitor and evaluate treatment outcomes, making modifications as necessary.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care planning.
Educate clients, families, and staff on techniques to support client goals.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
