The Senior Healthcare Program Specialist (level 2 or 3) will be located in the Bureau of Long Term Care and SSI-Related Populations, supporting state centralization of Medicaid eligibility determinations for the non-MAGI eligibility group (the aged, blind and disabled Medicaid population) and transition of this Medicaid eligibility group to a new State-based eligibility system. Duties of this position include, but are not limited to, assisting in transition of the aged, blind and disabled population to a new state-based eligibility system by working with various information systems to collect/organize, run, and analyze data; providing support for administrative fair hearings and other procedural processes for Medicaid eligibility issues specific to the aged, blind and disabled. The role includes general program administration responsibilities such as review of policy rules, data entry, document review and management, scheduling, and communication with internal teams. The ideal candidate must be comfortable using tools such as Excel and other databases to identify trends or issues, create reports, and make recommendations based on findings. Strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential for success in this role.
