Day to Day Duties & Responsibilities: Take orders accurately and serve food and beverages in a professional and courteous manner. Familiar with all drink and food menus, advise guests on which menu items to purchase and make recommendations about pairing food with beverages. Assist the bartenders in mixing drinks, preparing for simple orders such as draft or bottled beer. Observe guests and ensure tables are enjoying their food and beverages. Respond quickly to guest requests or complaints in a professional manner to ensure appropriate action is taken. Inform supervisors and follow up to ensure guest satisfaction. Answer the phone with the appropriate greeting and answer any questions within your ability. Routinely clean, organize work areas, glassware, and silverware. Keep all service areas and work stations stocked appropriately and to note items out of stock on weekly order sheet. Collect payments from customers, process credit card transactions, and accurately manage cash transactions. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Enthusiastic, attentive and approachable. Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills. Excellent verbal communication skills. Effective multi-tasker with the ability to continuously reprioritize daily activities. Available to work flexible hours including late evenings, weekends, holidays and to work on-calls as needed. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment.
